ABOUT

ABOUT JO LUYMES

With years of experience in fashion-related projects, Jo Luymes founded her independent design firm in 2003. Based in the Northeast of Holland, she frequently travels to collaborate with inspiring brands and individuals globally. Jo’s expertise spans a diverse array of global projects, from interior concepts and office design to product and social design.

Her unique approach, rooted in her fashion background, weaves stories about space, shapes, colors, and textures. Jolanda aims to craft aesthetic environments that reveal the story through a balance of space, proportion, and light, seamlessly marrying form and function.

After her studies at the Academy of the Arts in the Netherlands, Jo earned a Master of Fashion Design from IFM. She engaged in research, interned at renowned fashion houses, and participated in exhibitions and events. Jo worked for many years in Paris, designing conceptual clothing collections. This inspiring period fueled her creative journey and earned her stipends and project-related grants to create new work and experiment in fashion design and entrepreneurship.

Back in the Netherlands, she delved into interior architecture in collaboration with various international interior architects. She has created concepts for numerous profit and non-profit organizations.

Starting this year, she is collaborating with Jan Boelo Drenth on a new concept: Authentic Craftsmanship. With the label: LUYMES&DRENTH
